Cabin Creek Lumber Class A Climax S/N 804. About 1944, this Class A Climax was converted to internal combustion by replacing the steam boiler with a 4-cylinder White gasoline engine. The locomotive still used the original Climax two-speed transmission, line shafts, gearing and trucks.

Sometime around 1976, the locomotive was rebuilt with a new wood frame, cab, fake boiler and smoke stack - then lettered "Cabin Creek & Carefree RR - Hoot 1". This view shows the fake boiler and smoke stack, that has been placed where the water tank was originally located.
