This photograph shows the 12 ton vertical boiler Class A Climax operated by John F. Duncan on his railroad at White Deer, Pennsylvania. After many years of operation, the open frame cab has been modified and the roof extended over the fuel bunker. A Climax style headlight and spark arrestor have also been added. The crews named her "THE POT". This Class A Climax remained in service for nearly forty years.
